31 Days of Self Care – Days 7 and 8 – Nutrition and Supplements

My doctor recommeded surgery last week so I decided to take action. I eliminated dairy, sugar and "bad" carbs from my diet. I also reduced my caffeine intake. I have been eating the Weight and Wellness Way and I started taking supplements recommended by Dr. Christiane Northrup in her book, Women's Bodies, Women's Wisdom.

It's been 7 days and I've already noticed a difference. I have more energy and the symptoms I was experiencing have been reduced. I truly believe nutrition is the key to most health problems and I am amazed that more doctors do not address it when diagnosing illnesses. My doctor did not ask about or recommend a change in diet before recommending surgery. I'm not sure that I don't need surgery but I'm going to do everything I can to avoid it.
