31 Days of Self Care: Days 5 & 6 – Sleep & Meditation

Sleep was my self care yesterday. Today, I meditated.  Last spring, I went to the Minnesota Zen Meditation Center and learned the basics of zazen. If you've never experienced meditation, I highly recommend an intro class like the one offered at MZMC. They teach the basics and some of the history, traditions and rituals. Meditation is hard. My mind is busy and she doesn't like the quiet. She is persistent and sometimes quite annoying. I hope with practice she settles down and accepts that quiet is good for us.
